Got Pain?

Are you hurting? Are you struggling to get to the next level? Are you undecided on what to do with your life?  The majority of the world is dealing with these same issues. Many have a lot of aspirations of becoming successful, but no one wants the hurt, pain, and  struggle that goes with it. Pain is something we can not escape whether if we are babies getting vaccination or an elderly person dealing with life changings. Pain is a vital part of our life . God allows pain in our life to draw us closer to Him. If God didn’t allow pain, how could you help encourage someone through life journey, if you never experienced anything before.

How could you speak boldly in faith , if you never had a chance to speak to your own mountain before. Not only does God allows pain to happen but He uses it to help us grow. Everyone wants to grow but the  discomfort, aches, long nights, and sporadic pain that comes with it isn’t fun at all. Growing pains hurts because there is a change that’s happening on the inside. God is not only changing you, but sometimes He’s removing people out of your life as well.

When I think of growing, I think of a tree. A tree  deals with a lot through it’s lifespan on earth. It loses branches but still remain tall. It loses leaves, but still remain in a perfect shape. The key to a tree lively hood are in it’s root. A tree can survived any climate  because it’s roots are  deeply rooted in the ground. God wants us to be deeply rooted in His Word. No matter how much we are struggling with life,  if we are deeply rooted in God’s Word, the Holy Spirit will leads us into His truths(John 16:13). The only thing we need to have is an  open heart, humble lifestyle, and a listening ear for God.

Pain is not fun but be thankful that God is allowing you to experience it. We may not understand the pain now but when God delivers you through this test, you will be so grateful that He chose you. Take out a moment in your day today and Thank God for the pain that’s in your life. Let God know that you Trust Him through it all.

John 16:21

A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come, but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no remembers the anguish,  for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

Fan V. Follower- Blog inspired by Not a Fan

A fan is often someone who admires a team, someone, or something. It’s the person who doesn’t mind sitting outside in the cold at a football game to cheer on his or her team. It’s the person who doesn’t miss a game because he or she is loyal to the hometown football team. Does that sound like someone you know or is that you? On December 25th, fans came out of nowhere to help celebrate Jesus’s Birthday. Jesus has the most fans but He never asks for them. His Church has turned into arenas instead of a safe haven for sinners who desperately need to be healed and saved. In Luke 9:23-24: Then He said to them all, If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my Sake will gain it.

Jesus personally invites you to “take up your cross…” . But this is where we lack to RSVP to His invitation.  We say, “Not today Jesus, maybe tomorrow, next week, or next year.” We treat Him like the diet we were meaning to start. Like the Gym membership we were meaning to use, however we let it sit around and drain our funds (in relation to our spirituality). Unfortunately, tomorrow may never come. Therefore reality sets in and reminds us that In order for us to get what we need from Jesus, something inside of us or around us has to die.

We ask the Lord for a lot. We pray the most ridiculous prayers in hopes of gaining something or someone we don’t need. We desire them because we see others with these worldly things, and our flesh desires them as wellWe get mad when God give us that one prayer we prayed for, although it didn’t turn out how we expected it to. Why? Because He needed to show you it wasn’t what you REALLY needed. We ask… He answers, He asks and we “run the other way.”  Jesus wants us to die to what we believe holds value… or what we believe we can overcome alone such as worry, hurt from the past, and lukewarmness.

But when we learn to “die daily,” things change in our life.  We begin to discover life, and most of all, what we’re put on this Earth for… PURPOSE! “Dying daily” is not easy. It requires pain, suffering, and even shaking. Never question the process because it’s all working for your good. I remember the old medicine bottle stated “shake well before using.” The reason you had to shake the medicine well was to get the full effect from it.  God has to do the same to us. If you’re struggling with something, remember God is trying to get the full effect out of you.

Last week, my girlfriend was excited to use this new mask she bought. It was a spray-on mask, so the more you sprayed on, the more the dead skin would instantly fall off. I thought it was cool and wanted to see the dead skin fall off my face as well. Thus, as I put this spray on my face I saw the dead skin fall off, but I heard God say, “The more you apply me to your life, the things you are holding on to will fall off.” So as we enter 2017, I pray that we continue to follow God and apply Him to our whole life instead of certain areas… that way we can be cleansed from the things that are holding us back.

God’s Masterpiece

This morning I had the opportunity to stare out at the ocean. I must admit I was blown away from God’s masterpiece. No human has ever been able to go to the bottom of the ocean or tell you what all lives inside of it. That itself is so symbolic to the opportunities we have with God. God wants to take us deeper and show us things we never saw before, but some of us are scared because we can’t see past the Sandy beach. While we are standing on the beach we don’t realize that it’s so many things trying to survive under our feet. You have crabs that you can’t  even see, turtles in eggs waiting to be hatched, and hidden shells that appear when rain comes. Just like life, we have so many things that God keeps away from us because it’s not time for us to see them yet.

He keeps them burried into the sand because we haven’t matured enough for our blessing or we are not listening so he brings a shell to reminds us of who He is . While standing on the sand, we also have to deal with the heat from the sun. The sun is beaming on us trying to make us get inside the water but we have that fear of water, so we’d rather stay on the beach and bake like a cake. The same thing happens when God tells us to jump but because we can’t see our next move, we stay complacent. After a while, we get tired of staying complacent and complain that God forgot about us or we don’t know what he’s doing with our life.

Then one day, we look back at that jump we made and say,  “Lord we trust you in all aspects of our life; we will jump because we know you’re in control.” After taking a running leap to our next destiny, we find out that He was waiting on us the whole time.  God is saying don’t spend your life living in fear, when I have already told you that I will never leave nor forsake you.  All you have to do is trust Jesus and He will make your life endless like that ocean. He has so much in store for you. God is able and He’s faithful to do all things.

Don’t Doubt; Just Have Faith

According to Merriam Webster Faith can be described as strong belief or trust in someone or something.  That word faith can be tricky or sometimes misleading because we’re putting our faith in the wrong things. We will put our faith in people, jobs , material things but never fully in God.  Merriam Webster does a good job of describing words but the real definition of faith is given in the bible.  Hebrew 11:1 states – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  When we learn to put our faith in God instead of other people we begin to experience a new relationship with Him and things begin to get better for us.  Faith is daring the soul to go beyond what the eyes can not see.

That quote is powerful. We as  Christians can have faith but allow doubt to slip in and mess up everything we have ever work for. Doubt can cause you to relapse as a believer but Thank God for his grace and mercy.  The only way we can keep doubt out is by praying and meditating on His Word.  Peter was one of Jesus disciples and he allowed doubt to almost drown him while he was walking on water with Jesus.  Let’s hear Jesus response to Peter in Matt 14:31 (NIV)- And Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ” you of little faith,” why did you doubt  ?.

Jesus is asking us that same question when our faith is slipping. He’s asking : why are you doubting when I said I will supply all of your needs. Why are you doubting when I said I will never leave you nor  forsake you.  Why are you doubting when I said if ye have faith the grain of mustard seed , ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20 KJV )

It’s time to start having faith and speaking to your mountains. It’s time for things that been hindering  your life to fall off. All you have to do is have faith the grain of a mustard seed.

What’s so special about a mustard seed is if you plant it, it will eventually become a tree . Matt 13:32 (NKJV)  confirms this.  Which indeed is the least of all seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that birds of the air come and nest in its branches.

Just imagine if  our faith was the size of a tree. We would be able to do a great work in God’s Kingdom.  The next time you get low on faith . Go to the nearest walmart in purchase some mustard seeds.  Remember that’s all the faith you need to move mountains and there’s nothing to hard for God.

Obedience to God is the key

Obedience is a choice. You will either obey God or you will not. God is searching for someone who’s willing to walk with him. God uses people who are willing to be use by Him. Noah was a drunk but the bible tells me that Noah found grace in God eyes. God told Noah that he was going to destroy the world by water and he needed him to build an ark.

Noah built the Ark like God commended him to do. In order to obey God you have to first have faith in him. Having faith in God will open up so many opportunities for you.  Faith  is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews:11:1

Noah built in ark for 120 years before he saw rain. When we begin to  walk in obedience,  that’s when the blessing of God begin to flow. It’s one thing to just hear the word of God or to read it, but it’s something else for us to start obeying it.  That shows us faith plus works equals a blessing .

Trust The Source

When God told Abraham and Sarah they were having a baby. Sarah replied back by laughing at God. Sarah mind couldnt comprehend what God was trying to do with there life. After she laugh at God, He simply ask her the question was anything too Hard For God.

Just like  Sarah we do the same thing with God. When God ask us to do something we try to find a resource to our problems instead of trusting in the source.  God is wanting us to  submit ourselves to him and trust in Him. God said he would never leave us nor forsake us. Hebrews 13:8 tells us Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever.  This verse just gives me hope.

Even though our circumstances may seem rough for a moment and we cant see the light from day. We must remember it’s a season and nota lifetime . We need to realized there’s nothing too hard for our God.  God is wanting us to become more than what we see in the mirror. If you run out of things to say doing your storm just remember Psalm 25 4-9.

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me,for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.

Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.
Good and upright is the Lord;therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.

I would like to Thank you guys for reading my blogs. I want to leave a message with you. Trust God at His Word and learn to speak to thing. God has given us a voice to speak to things but we’re not operating in it. I pray today that you start to speak the Word of God into your life today. When a problem present itself and it seem like it want go away . Speak the Word of God at it. At the name of Jesus all things will break , at the name of Jesus all things will change, and there’s power in His name. I thank God for you and I’m happy to see things are already changing for you. All you have to do is trust the source. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you guys next week.

What Are You Feeding Your Gift ?

2 Timothy 1:6 (NIV) tells us for this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

A fire cannot start unless it’s getting fed by the wind. Once the right amount of wind is present, the fire will start. That same fire can create heat, light, and even take over any area. The same principle works with the gift that God has place within you. Alot of people will never reach this feeling because they’re not feeding their gift properly. My question to you is, what are you feeding your gift.

Sometimes we have to reignite the fire and order to get the gift moving again on the inside. When we ignite the fire, it makes our flames grow. A flame is the glowing body of the fire. The more you feed the fire, the bigger your flames will become. God wants to create a fire on the inside of you. He wants you to start acting on the things that he have place in your life.Once you start acting on them, He will shine through you.

Matthew 5:16 tells us in the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven. Remember light can take over any area. When we let God light shine through us, we begin to change the world.
